Lieutenant General (retired) Mark Schwartz served the nation with distinction for more than 33 years in the United States Army. His last duty assignment was as the United States Security Coordinator for Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Prior to arriving to the United States Embassy Jerusalem, Lt. Gen. Schwartz served as the Deputy Commanding General of the Joint Special Operations Command. His other general officer assignments include Commander, Special Operations Command Europe; Deputy Commanding General for Maneuver, First Cavalry Division; Deputy Commanding General Special Operations Joint Task Force – Afghanistan.
A career Special Forces Officer, prior to being promoted to Brigadier General, Lt. General Schwartz served in Special Operations key developmental command and staff assignments including: Chief of Staff, Joint Special Operations Command; Commander, 3rd Special Forces Group (Abn); Commander, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force – Afghanistan; Director of Operations, Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command – Afghanistan; Deputy Commander for Operations CJSOTF-A; Executive Officer and Deputy Commander, 3rd Special Forces Group (ABN); Commander, 4tb Battalion 1st Special Warfare Training Group (ABN); Special Operations Plans Officer, Joint Forces Command Brunssum, the Netherlands.
Lieutenant General Schwartz served with the 5th Special Forces Group (ABN) as a Special Forces Captain and Major, conducting deployments to the Middle East, North Africa, and participating in the initial invasions of Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2003.
Following his military transition, Mark established Indelible Alliance LLC. He serves as an Advisor to corporate leaders and as a Consultant to multiple Defense and Aerospace firms.
Mark serves on the Board of Directors for Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation and serves as a spokesperson for the Special Operators Transition Foundation.
Mark is a proud native of Colorado where he currently lives with his wife Allison.
