“I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to join this incredible team as a full-time member,” said McGant. “I’m excited to contribute my best efforts, grow both personally and professionally, and help drive the success of this amazing organization.”

McGant, who is continuing his military service in the U.S. Army Reserves, was originally part of Bancroft’s 2023 VTP class. After multiple delays in transition from active duty to reservist, he formally joined the firm at the start of 2024. For the last six months, he has worked closely with Director of Operations Melissa Donahue, where he will continue in his full-time role.

“At Bancroft we know that every veteran’s transition into a successful civilian career is unique.” said Cal Quinn, CEO. “We have supported Allante through the ups-and-downs of his transition and couldn’t be prouder of the resilience he has demonstrated thought this process. Now, as a graduate of our Veteran Training Program Bancroft is thrilled to offer Allante a position in our firm.”

McGant joined the US. Army Reserves after high school, and was deployed in 2018 to Iraq, where he and his squad completed several security and construction missions alongside NATO allies. On that tour, McGant was promoted from Specialist to Sergeant. He deployed again in 2021 to Kuwait, where he sustained an injury in the line of duty. During his recovery, McGant connected with a financial advisor who in turn piqued his interest in financial services.

Separately, McGant is also continuing his educational pursuit at DeSales University through Bancroft’s partnership specifically designed for candidates in the firm’s training program.

“I’m truly thankful for the guidance and support of my mentors and colleagues,” said McGant. Their wisdom, encouragement, and professionalism inspire me to do my best every day, and I couldn’t be more grateful to be part of such a talented and supportive group.”

Launched in 2019 and fully funded by Bancroft Capital, the VTP puts disabled veterans and first responders in a position to develop a skill set capable of supporting a new career as Institutional Traders and Investment Bankers. Bancroft aims to offer paid opportunities to new VTP candidates each year. Candidate training includes a rotation among the five business units Bancroft operates and an introduction to back office and operations functions, sales trading, and compliance while participating in the VTP. Through their own hard work and diligence, each candidate rewrites their futures as they develop skill sets that last through not one job, but for the life of a career.

Bancroft holds certifications and affiliations which illustrate its national significance in the veteran, higher education and business sectors, including: Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); Elite SDVOB Network, Veterans in Business Networking for Success (VIB Network), National Veteran Business Development Council, (NVBDC); Disability: IN; NaVOBA Service- Disabled Veteran’s Business Enterprise; Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses; Merck Drexel Advanced Leadership Program for Diverse Suppliers; Villanova University; and DeSales University.
